Studies in SEO Continued - Part 4

I started this series of articles on Church Growth Consulting on May 9, 2008. I used a site called Christian Book Club as an example. At the time the site was returning on page 7 at position 70. It had been slowly moving up in the results from 30 pages deep. Then, shortly after that first article, the site quit showing up on Google. It didn’t show up in the first 100 pages. Until today. After 2 weeks of being gone here is the result I just got for a keyword search of Christian Book Club on Google:

Page 1, position 6! When you have a site start showing up on page 1 it is very exciting. Some interesting things have been happening with the article I wrote called “How to Start a Christian Book Club‘. It has been on and off the results. Where is it today?

Page 2 position 17 and it is also bringing along the main page for a double return. Last update I want to give you today is about another article I wrote called A New Idea for Christian Book Clubs. I didn’t put this article on my blog, I published it on the Internet with Article Marketer. It just started getting published today and look at where it is on the same search for “How to Start a Christian Book Club”.

Page 1, position 9.  I think SEO is fascinating.  Unless I lose the first page result for Christian Book Club, this will probably be the last article in this series. We will pick a new topic to study for SEO.
